Cashback bought me an iPhone. I just shopped the way I already do.

£1,636 back since 2023 — enough for the latest iPhone Pro Max, with change. No surveys, no side hustle, no spending I wouldn't have done anyway. Just one extra click before I buy, and every payout on this site is screenshotted.

How much can you actually earn with cashback?

My honest answer: £1,636.17 since 2023, about £545 a year — and I've barely optimised. Almost none of it came from spending more. Here's where it came from, and what it added up to.

the latest iPhone

£1,636 lifetime — the whole point of this site, one payout at a time

£835 from referrals

showing 33 friends a link I already use — a third of the total, zero shopping

£120 for one switch

moving mobile network I was renewing anyway — bills, not extra buys

How cashback works — in three clicks

No apps to babysit, no points to decode. You shop where you already shop — a cashback site just sits in the middle and pays you for the introduction.

  1. 1

    Click through first

Start at the cashback site, click to the retailer, then buy exactly as normal.

  2. 2

    The retailer pays them

A commission for sending you — the same budget they’d spend on ads.

  3. 3

Most of it lands with you

It shows as pending, confirms, and you withdraw to your bank or a gift card.

Why trust a chap off the internet?

Because you don't have to — every claim links to a screenshot from my own account: dashboards, payout histories, even the £98 of declines. If I haven't done it, the page says so.

Cashback questions, answered straight

Are cashback sites legit in the UK?

Yes — the established ones are. I've withdrawn £1,547.12 from TopCashback to my own bank across ~20 payouts since November 2023, and its tracking never missed a genuine purchase in 123 of them. The catches are slow confirmation windows and the occasional merchant decline, not vanishing money.

Is TopCashback free to use?

The Classic tier is free forever. There is an optional Plus tier at £5/year (taken from your earnings) for higher rates — but you never pay to join or to withdraw.

How much can you actually earn from cashback?

My real answer is £1,636.17 since 2023 — roughly £545 a year — almost all of it from bills, switches, referrals and rotating 100% offers rather than extra shopping. Heavy spenders earn far more; the trick is routing what you already buy through one extra click.

TopCashback or Quidco — which is better?

I use both. TopCashback is my primary for coverage and payout record, but rates flip per retailer and Quidco sometimes wins a specific deal (it currently runs offers TopCashback dropped). For anything big, check both first.

How do cashback sites make money?

Retailers pay them a commission for sending customers. The site keeps a slice and hands you the rest — so you are the delivered customer, in the rare deal that pays you.
